Mixdown + Master + Premaster

Please include an exported version of the song as a reference for me. Also a reference song (actual file so I can bring it into Ableton) to help me hear where you want me to take the mixdown.

If you send STEMS, please label them clearly and organize them. Numbering them is one way to make sure they are ordered in the folder you're sending. Examples: "01_Kick_Zendlo"

"02_Sub-Bass_Sidechain_Zendlo"

"02.5_Sub-Bass_NoSidechain_Zendlo"

Another way to organize your stems is to put the stems into sub folders. For example putting all the different drum stems into a drum folder, synth stems in a synth folder, kick and bass in a Low End Folder, etc.

Double check the stems before sending. This means bringing all of the stems into a session and when you press play, it sounds correct.

If you send an ABLETON session, make sure there are no third party plugins, even if you think I would have the plugin. The folder you send over should include the Samples, Backup, and Ableton Project Info folders along with the .als project file. The Samples folder is where the audio files are storing when you collect all and save, so without this folder the project won't have audio files on my end. So collect all and save, then send the folder that includes all 4 of those items. This is the most common mistake.

I will send the mixdown the day after I mix it. I like to make sure it sounds good with fresh ears the next morning. I make tweaks every time I do this and the mixdowns come out better. Keep in mind I have other client work and my own music commitments, so the mixdown could take up to 48 hours depending on when it's scheduled. I want to make sure I do it with fresh ears and focus so I can give you the best mixdown possible. Message me if its a rush.
